Kyrgyzstan, Korea to explore implementing new projects

BISHKEK, March 10 (Kabar/APP) : Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Erlist Akunbekov met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kyrgyz Republic, Kim Kwangjae.
According to Kyrgyz Cabinet of ministers, during the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future directions of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea in various fields, paying particular attention to agriculture and water resources management.
The meeting also discussed the preparation of bilateral documents between Kyrgyzstan and Korea, which are planned for consideration at a high-level international event scheduled for this year.
Furthermore, it was noted that cooperation between the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea is actively developing in four areas: livestock farming, seed production, food security, and water resources. The parties explored the possibility of implementing new joint projects.
In turn, Lim So-yeon, Head of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Representative Office in Kyrgyzstan, and Kwang Sog Chu, Director of the Korea International Program on Agriculture (KOPIA) Center in Kyrgyzstan, who participated in the meeting, expressed gratitude for the joint implementation of numerous projects and collaboration on ongoing initiatives, and confirmed their readiness for further close cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Erlist Akunbekov and Kim Kwangjae agreed to continue constructive cooperation and further develop a mutually beneficial partnership.
