Efforts afoot to ensure smooth supply of petrol, diesel

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Mar 09 (APP):The district administration is taking concrete steps to ensure a smooth supply of petroleum products at the officially prescribed prices.

As part of efforts, Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Dr. Hamid paid a surprise visit to the market and conducted inspections of several petrol pumps.

 According to the administration, he examined the availability of petrol and diesel, the stock situation, and the services being provided to the public.

On this occasion, pump owners were directed to ensure the uninterrupted supply of petroleum products to the citizens in accordance with the government’s policies.

The administration also received complaints against certain petrol pumps regarding delays in fuel supply and unjustified disruptions.

Following these complaints, legal action has been initiated against the concerned petrol pumps.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Hamid warned that no one would be allowed to create an artificial shortage of petroleum products or cause unnecessary difficulties for people.

He said that strict legal action would be taken against those violating government directives.
