No room for terrorism in KP, says Governor Kundi

PESHAWAR, Mar 08 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday said there was no room or space for terrorism in the province and paid tribute to security forces for their successful operations against terrorists in various districts.

In a statement, the Governor said security forces carried out effective intelligence-based operations in different areas of the province and eliminated several Khawarij militants, which he termed a commendable achievement.

He said the sacrifices and professional capabilities of the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies in the war against terrorism were a source of pride for the entire nation.

The Governor said terrorists were given a strong and effective response during operations conducted in Bajaur, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber and South Waziristan.

He added that timely actions by security forces foiled the nefarious designs of terrorists.

Faisal Karim Kundi said Pakistan’s security forces were determined to defend the country and ensure peace, adding that the entire nation stood firmly with its forces in the fight against terrorism.

He said operations against anti-state elements would continue until the menace of terrorism was completely eradicated.

The Governor reiterated that the efforts of security forces and law enforcement agencies for maintaining peace and protecting citizens in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were commendable, adding that the entire nation saluted their sacrifices.
