Governor Balochistan directs timely completion of Zhob bypass

QUETTA, Mar 06 (APP):Governor of Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has directed officials of the National Highway Authority (NHA) to ensure the early completion of the Zhob Bypass, describing it as a long-standing issue requiring urgent attention.

Speaking with highway authorities in Quetta, the Governor noted that after the Quetta–Karachi National Highway, the Quetta–Zhob route is among the most important national highways in the region due to its strategic role in transportation and connectivity.

Jaffar Mandokhail expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Communications Aleem Khan for the timely release of funds for the project. He announced that following Eid ul-Fitr, he will visit the project site along with provincial ministers to review progress firsthand.

The Governor urged the Balochistan Communications and Works Department (B&R) to arrange an alternative route for heavy traffic before Eid, ensuring smooth movement for residents of Zhob Division and travelers between provinces.

He emphasized that the bypass is a significant federal development initiative. Its timely completion will reduce traffic congestion in Zhob, improve travel facilities for residents and enhance connectivity for commuters.
