Mehbooba Mufti slams India over silence on Khamenei’s killing; protests reported in IIOJK

MIRPUR (AJK), Mar 5 (APP):Former, Chief Minister, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and president of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti has criticized India for its silence over the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in recent U.S.–Israeli strikes, as protests were reported from parts of the occupied Kashmir valley.
According to a report received here  from across the Line of Control (LoC), Mufti, while speaking to media persons in Srinagar termed New Delhi’s selective response to global developments.
She said that despite days of attacks on Iran that resulted in the death of its Supreme Leader, the  Indian government had neither condemned the strikes nor offered condolences.
“For the last five to six days, Israel and the United States have been attacking Iran, in which the Supreme Leader was martyred. People here expressed grief and anger, but thousands have been detained, including women,” she told reporters.
Mufti also staged a protest and  the supporters were carrying posters of the slain Iranian leader.
