BAHAWALPUR, Mar 04 (APP):Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab for Food Security and Consumer Protection Salma Butt visited the Ramzan Nigehban Bazaar and the Chief Minister Punjab Model Rehri Bazaar (Old Vegetable Market)
to review availability, quality, and sale of essential commodities at officially notified rates.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Captain (retd) Tayyab Sami Khan and Assistant
Commissioner City Khalil Ahmed were also present.
While speaking to the media at the Ramzan Nigehban Bazaar, Salma Butt stated that on the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, effective measures are being implemented across the province to control inflation during Ramzan.
She noted that shoppers expressed satisfaction over the availability of essential food items
at subsidized prices.
Salma Butt added that strict oversight of auction processes in wholesale markets is being carried out, and comprehensive data regarding the capacity of cold storages and warehouses is being compiled to
prevent artificial shortages and enable prompt action against violators
