Women Eid Bazar 2026 inaugurated at federal capital

ISLAMABAD, Mar 04 (APP):The first-ever fully cashless Eid Bazaar dedicated to women entrepreneurs was inaugurated here on Wednesday in Sector G-11 of the federal capital, featuring 50 stalls managed by women showcasing a wide range of products. The event is open to all visitors, with no entry restrictions for buyers.
Organized under the title “Women’s Eid Bazaar 2026: A Step Towards Economic Empowerment,” the initiative aims to promote women’s economic independence by providing them with enhanced business and networking opportunities. The bazaar has been arranged by the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the leadership of its President, Samina Fazil.
The initiative is being supported by the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), while JazzCash is facilitating digital payment services at the venue.
Speaking on the occasion, Samina Fazil, Founder and Chairperson of the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the event reflects a practical commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment and encouraging their active participation in the business sector.
The bazaar features a diverse selection of Eid-related products, including traditional and contemporary dresses, footwear, cultural items, handicrafts, embroidery, and a variety of food stalls, enabling families to complete their Eid shopping conveniently at a single location.
According to the organizers, this is the first women-focused bazaar in the capital to operate entirely on a cashless
model, with all transactions conducted through digital payment systems. The initiative is aimed at familiarizing women entrepreneurs with modern financial technologies and strengthening their integration into the digital economy.
The Eid Bazaar will continue until Chand Raat and will remain open until 10:00 PM on the final day. Organizers expressed confidence that such initiatives will expand market access for women entrepreneurs and contribute to their long-term economic self-reliance.
