DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Mar 04 (APP):The Dera police have successfully solved a blind murder case within 24 hours, arresting the accused and recovering the murder weapon in a swift operation.
The incident took place in Paharpur, where the victim, Sohail son of Iqbal, was shot dead by an unidentified person. Soon after the incident, a team of the Paharpur Police Station launched an investigation and began collecting evidence to trace the suspect.
The action was taken on the directions of District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmad. The police team, led by SDPO Muhammad Adnan along with SHO Paharpur Cadet Zafar Abbas, managed to trace the accused within a short time.
The accused, Sadiq son of Rafiq, a resident of Mohallah Nusrat Town, Paharpur, was arrested according to the law. A 30-bore pistol, believed to be the murder weapon, was also recovered from his possession.
