FAISALABAD, Mar 03 (APP):Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has approved marriage grants worth Rs.6 million for 30 retired and deceased employees under its ongoing welfare initiatives to support workers and their families.
FESCO spokesman Saeed Raza said here on Tuesday that on the special directives of FESCO Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engineer Muhammad Aamir, the FESCO administration sanctioned Rs.200,000 per case to assist in meeting marriage expenses of employees’ children. The total disbursement amounts to Rs.6 million, calculated at Rs.200,000 each for 30 beneficiaries, he added.
He said that the welfare measures are not temporary in nature but part of a continuous policy designed to improve the living standards of employees and their families.
He said that beneficiaries of the grant included widows and retired employees from various cadres such as line staff, administrative personnel, drivers, meter readers, accounts staff and supporting employees.
He termed the initiative a clear reflection of FESCO’s resolve to stand by its workforce even after retirement and in cases of bereavement.
FESCO employees appreciated the move of the Chief Executive Officer and expressed hope that such welfare-oriented programs would continue in the future, reinforcing a sense of security and institutional support among the company’s workforce.
