Governor for making country, cradle of peace, development & tolerance

QUETTA, Mar 03 (APP):Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Tuesday said that we would have to take concrete steps on both the political and religious fronts to make our beloved homeland a cradle of peace, development and tolerance.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of the National Peace Message Committee (NPAC) led by Maulana Tahir Ashrafi.
The Governor said that the arrival of a representative delegation of the National Peace Message Committee to Quetta and the mobilization of scholars would soon yield positive results, and the inclusion of representatives of minorities from across the country in this committee is a welcome move.
He said that the Pakistani Armed Forces and all other security institutions have an important role in establishing lasting peace and dealing with terrorism. It is necessary that political leaders, eminent scholars and great scholars come forward and play a full role in creating patriotism, brotherhood and harmony among the people.
Jaffar Khan Mandokhel said that terrorism is like a plague for the entire region and Balochistan has also been greatly affected in the past several years, which has become inevitable.
He said that every responsible person in society must convey the messages of respect for human dignity, national unity and establishment of peace to all the young men and women of the country and the province, adding that there is a need to work on sound intellectual and ideological foundations.
It is a fact that the voice rising from the pulpit and the altar is very effective, he noted.
The Governor said that unity of thought could only be ensured through unity of action and in this regard, a unified national narrative could play a key role.
He maintained that there is a need to completely eradicate factors like extremism, sabotage, sectarianism and linguistic prejudices that are dividing the nation so that national unity and unity could be ensured by avoiding intellectual chaos.
Finally, he prayed for the security of the country and the nation.
