IHC reserves verdict regarding regularization of 200 employees

ISLAMABAD, Mar 03 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday reserved its decision in the case regarding regularization of 200 employees of National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) from grade one to 15. The court has directed NCCIA to submit its response by tomorrow (March 4).
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the case of 200 employees of NCCIA. Director General (DG) NCCIA Khurram Ali appeared in the court in person.
The court has inquired at what level is NCCIA currently regarding the employees? DG NCCIA said that they have drafted the rules and sent them for approval. We wrote for 850 seats and 600 were approved.
The court said that this is a separate institution. The case is of employees of grades 1 to 15. At the time of appointment of these employees, an advertisement was published, interviews were conducted and the complete process was carried out.
It would check the employees against whom there is any misconduct. Those against whom there is no misconduct would be regularized on a scale.
The court said that the DG could look into the fitness issues of these employees. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that the purpose of calling you was that all the people were Pakistanis. These citizens should not be victimized. If new people were hired, tomorrow the new government will remove them. This is victimization.
The court reserved the decision after the arguments of the parties. The 200 contract employees of NCCIA have approached the court to make them permanent.
