FAISALABAD, Mar 02 (APP): City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar directly heard public complaints during an open court and issued immediate directives to relevant officers for immediate resolution of these grievances.
According to police spokesman Tariq Jutt, the CPO organized the open court to provide citizens an opportunity to present their applications and highlight their issues. A large number of complainants attended the open court and apprised the CPO of their concerns.
The CPO carefully listened to each applicant and issued on-spot instructions to the concerned officers to ensure prompt and fair action. He emphasized that all applications must be dealt with impartially and strictly in accordance with the law to ensure provision of justice without delay.
Addressing the gathering, the CPO said that primary objective of open courts is to maintain an atmosphere of trust between the public and the police. He made it clear that injustice toward citizens would not be tolerated under any circumstances and strict accountability would be ensured in case of negligence.
He directed police officers to follow up on the complaints received during open court and submit progress reports within stipulated timeframe.
Such open forums would continue on a regular basis to strengthen public confidence, promote transparency and ensure prompt redressal of public issues efficiently and effectively, he added.
