ISLAMABAD, Mar 01 (APP):Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, along with his son, Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, his daughter-in-law, Ms. Zahra Haddad-Adel, his son-in-law, and his granddaughter.
The NA Speaker extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei and said that this is an irreparable loss for the entire family and the friendly people of Iran.
He expressed deep solidarity with the people of Iran during this sombre moment.
Ayaz Sadiq also condoled the martyrdom of the close aide of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei and the top civilian and military leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He observed that their sacrifices for their nation will always be remembered with respect and honor.
Expressing concern over the prevailing situation in the Middle East, the NA Speaker underscored the serious violation of international law and the erosion of the long-standing convention that Heads of State or Government must not be targeted.
He further warned that the ongoing conflict in the region could drive the world toward greater instability, heightened tensions, and the risk of a broader confrontation.
Emphasizing the urgency of the moment, he called upon the international community to play an effective and responsible role in promoting peace and ensuring stability in the region.
Ayaz Sadiq said that the Parliament, Government and people of Pakistan stand united with the people of Iran in these difficult and testing times.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of Shaheed Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, his son, his daughter-in-law, his son-in-law and granddaughter, along with his close aide and the martyred civilian and military leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He also beseeched Allah Almighty to grant patience and strength to their bereaved family members and to the people of Iran to bear this profound and irreparable loss.
