DIG Tariq conducts citywide security review during Sehri & Taraweeh hours

ISLAMABAD, Mar 01 (APP):Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Police Muhammad Jawad Tariq, accompanied by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, conducted a citywide review of security arrangements during Sehri and Taraweeh hours across the federal capital.
An official told APP on Sunday that the DIG visited various sensitive locations, including mosques and key security points, to assess preparedness during early morning Sehri timings and late-night Taraweeh prayers.
He said DIG Tariq met officers deployed on duty and directed them to ensure heightened vigilance during peak religious hours.
The official said special security arrangements have been put in place at mosques and imambargahs to ensure peaceful Sehri, Taraweeh, and other Ramazan-related activities.
DIG Tariq emphasized that strict monitoring, effective patrolling, and maximum field presence were essential during these sensitive timings.
He reiterated that Islamabad Police remain fully committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens and ensuring a secure environment throughout the holy month of Ramazan.
