ISLAMABAD, Mar 01 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 31 accused in multiple operations across the federal capital and recovered narcotics, liquor, and illegal weapons from their possession.
An official told APP on Sunday that police teams from Karachi Company, Shalimar, Golra, Sangjani, Industrial Area, Humak, Nilore, Bhara Kahu, and Shahzad Town police stations conducted coordinated actions against criminal elements.
He said 17 accused involved in various criminal activities were apprehended during routine and targeted operations.
Police recovered 110 grams of hashish, 145 grams of heroin, 421 grams of ice, 210 bottles of liquor, and 10 pistols with ammunition from the possession of the arrested accused.
The official said cases have been registered against the suspects and further investigations are underway.
He added that during a special campaign against proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams arrested seven more criminals wanted in different cases.
ICT Police said the crackdown against criminal elements would continue to ensure peace and law and order in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza said the force remained committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and would not allow any element to disturb public peace./APP-rzr-mkz
