ISLAMABAD, Mar 01 (APP):Interior Secretary Captain (R) Khurram Agha, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited the Foreign Office checkpoint to review security arrangements and public facilitation measures.
An official told APP on Sunday that the high-level delegation assessed security protocols, monitoring systems, and response mechanisms at the checkpoint.
IGP Rizvi briefed officers on the use of modern equipment to ensure effective checking and immediate assistance to citizens.
The official said security is being strengthened through Safe City cameras, modern scanners, body cameras, SOS help points, and alert police units deployed at the site.
He said the visiting officials emphasized the importance of maintaining strict security while ensuring smooth facilitation for the public.
The IGP Islamabad reiterated that protection of citizens and strengthening of security infrastructure remain top priorities of Islamabad Police.
