ISLAMABAD, Feb 28 (APP):The Pakistan Business Forum (PBF) has expressed full support for Pakistan’s Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies, appreciating their strong action to protect the country and fight terrorism under Operation Ghazab-LiL-Haq.
In a statement issued here, the Forum said the operation shows the government’s clear decision to maintain peace and security in the country. It said that economic growth is not possible without a safe and stable environment.
The PBF strongly condemned recent cross-border attacks and called them violations of international law. It said peace in the region is important for trade, business and economic cooperation.
The Forum said Pakistan has been hosting millions of Afghan nationals for more than 40 years and has played a responsible role in supporting regional peace. These efforts show Pakistan’s commitment to stability and cooperation.
However, the Forum added that ongoing security challenges and terrorist activities harm not only national security but also the economy. Terrorism affects trade, reduces investor confidence, increases business costs and slows industrial growth.
“The business community stands shoulder to shoulder with our Armed Forces and security institutions. Their sacrifices make it possible for markets to operate and businesses to grow,” the statement said.
The PBF said terrorism is not just a security problem but also an economic challenge. Investment, exports and job creation depend on a peaceful and secure country.
The Forum concluded that a strong and secure Pakistan is necessary for economic stability and long-term progress, and the business community will continue to support all efforts for lasting peace.
