Dera Ismail Khan , Feb 28 (APP):On the directives of the Director General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority, the Food Safety Team Dera carried out joint inspections in collaboration with the district administration and relevant line departments to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public.
During the inspections, officials examined meat, poultry, milk, bakeries and general stores across various markets.
Several violators were fined on the spot, while others were summoned to the office for further legal proceedings.
Deputy Director Sajjad Ahmad said that such actions would continue throughout the holy month of Ramazan to ensure the availability of hygienic and standard food items for consumers.
He added that strict compliance with food safety laws was being enforced without discrimination.
