MOSCOW, Feb 28 (APP): Ambassador of Pakistan to Moscow Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, drawing a parallels between the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) – the ideological parent of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – and Adolf Hitler and Mussolini, highlighted that the country which started the state terrorism in the region was India.
The ambassador, addressing the Moscow—Islamabad Media Forum held here, said that it was Indian which took the Kashmir issue to the United Nations Security Council but has since refused to implement resolutions.
“Why don’t they allow [the implementation]?” Tirmizi questioned and rejected India’s frequent Indian accusations against Pakistan countering with evidence of Indian involvement in destabilizing activities within Pakistan.
The forum was jointly organized by the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), the University of World Civilizations (UWC) in Russia, and the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute University (SASSI) in Pakistan.
The event was attended by a distinguished panel of diplomats, scholars, and media experts from Pakistan and Russia to discuss the deepening partnership between the two countries. The event was timed to coincide with the upcoming official visit of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to Moscow in March 2026.
Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav, a serving RAW officer arrested by Pakistan for involvement in spreading instability in Balochistan.
“This is the kind of ideology that India is propagating all over the world and it is exposing itself all over the world,” he said and emphasized Pakistan’s resolve as a nuclear power, saying that the country would respond decisively to any provocation.
He said that Pakistan and Russia enjoyed a long-standing, multidimensional relationship as both countries shared geography, history, cuisine, and linguistic roots and called Pakistan part of Eurasian land.
The ambassador noted that the Forum demonstrated a deep mutual interest between the two nations’ intellectuals.
“Notably, the upcoming summit in Moscow will mark the fifth meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Vladimir Putin, signaling a high level of diplomatic engagement,” he added.
“We will start the process of signing PTA with the Eurasian Economic Union and the Russian Federation… I’m very happy to announce that Pakistan is also organizing the second Russia -Pakistan Business Forum during this visit, in which over 100 leading companies are coming from Pakistan to interact with the Russian partners.”
“The time has come to take this relationship to the next level,” he added.
At the Forum, Dr. Roxolana Zigon, geopolitical analyst and head of the Scientific Center of International and Strategic Studies at the University of World Civilization, seconded Ambassador Tirmizi’s viewpoint saying that Pakistan had repeatedly extended a hand to New Delhi but faced consistent rejection and fascist-nationalist stance from India.
Calling the Forum, a bridge between Islamabad and Moscow, she observed that some pro-India voices were key obstacle blocking deeper Moscow-Islamabad ties.
She said that Pakistan had a strong diplomatic will and genuinely desired for regional stability and that the country also awaited a clear, balanced, and supportive position from Russia for for security and peace in the region.
