ISLAMABAD, Feb 28 (APP): Umair Pervez has successfully defended his PhD thesis titled “Hindutva and the Transformation of Indian Strategic Culture” at Selçuk University, achieving a significant academic milestone in the field of International Relations and Strategic Studies.

The research critically examines the ideological foundations of Hindutva and its role in transforming India’s strategic culture. The study concludes that Hindutva has become deeply institutionalised within Indian society and state structures, making its ideological trajectory largely irreversible.
The findings underscore that this transformation carries significant strategic and security implications for Pakistan and China, particularly in the context of regional stability, military doctrine, and foreign policy behavior.
Dr. Umair is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of International Relations at National Defence University (NDU) Islamabad. He has actively contributed to academic and policy discourse on South Asian security and has represented the Kashmir conflict at various national and international forums, highlighting its geopolitical and humanitarian dimensions.
Dr. Umair expressed deep gratitude to his supervisor, Dr. Nezir Akyesilmen, for his invaluable guidance, critical insights, and unwavering support throughout the research journey. He also extended sincere thanks to his co-supervisor and mentor, Dr. Khuram Iqbal, whose mentorship and encouragement played a vital role in the completion of this study.
