ISLAMABAD, Feb 27 (APP):Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Muhammad Humayun Khan has strongly condemned the unprovoked firing carried out by the Afghan Taliban along the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said that Pakistan’s brave security forces responded immediately and effectively, delivering a clear message to the enemy. “The protection of our beloved homeland’s borders will be ensured at all costs,” he added.
Humayun Khan emphasized that Pakistan will never compromise on its territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
He praised the professional capability and timely response of the Pakistan army and other security institutions, calling their actions commendable and exemplary.
“The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces and possesses the capability to give a befitting response to any external aggression,” he said.
He reiterated that Pakistan is a responsible state seeking peace and stability in the region. However, if the country’s sovereignty is challenged, Pakistan will exercise its legitimate right of self-defense fully and lawfully.
Humayun Khan paid rich tribute to the brave personnel of the security forces, saying that the nation salutes their sacrifices and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the country.
In a separate statement, Muhammad Humayun Khan paid tribute to the Pakistan army for the successful execution of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq.
He said that the brave soldiers of the Pakistan army demonstrated exceptional professionalism and courage, thwarting the nefarious designs of the enemy.
Humayun Khan said that the Pakistan army has once again conveyed a clear message that no compromise will be made on Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He urged the government of Afghanistan to abandon its policy of acting as a proxy for India and destabilizing the region.
“Pakistan desires peace, but it will take every necessary step to defend its borders and protect its citizens. While Pakistan has always promoted peace, stability and mutual respect in the region, any aggression or provocation will be responded to decisively,” he added.
