DPM Dar, Egyptian FM discuss regional situation, stress need for peace, stability

ISLAMABAD, Feb 27 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday held a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty, during which the two leaders exchanged views on recent regional developments, including the situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
During the call, the deputy prime minister briefed his Egyptian counterpart on Pakistan’s response to what he described as unprovoked aggression, stating that the country’s actions had been measured yet decisive, a DPM’s Office news release said.
He underscored that Pakistan’s Armed Forces had carried out successful operations under Operation Ghazb lil Haq to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Both foreign ministers emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region and agreed to remain in close contact regarding evolving developments.
