NAWABSHAH, Feb 26 (APP):SSP Shaheed Benazirabad, Sumair Noor Channa distributed financial assistance cheques among the families of police personnel who passed away during the line of duty.
He reaffirmed the department’s commitment to Police Welfare by meeting the families of officers and personnel who died while performing duties, at a dignified ceremony held on Thursday.
On the occasion, cheques amounting to approximately Rs. 900,000 were distributed among the bereaved families under Police Welfare Fund. The total amount of Rs. 900,000 was allocated across different categories.
Addressing the occasion, SSP said that taking care of families who have lost their loved ones in the line of duty is foremost responsibility of police department.
He emphasized that although the loss of brave personnel cannot be compensated, the department will never leave their families alone.
The family members who received cheques expressed their gratitude to SSP and the police department for remembering them during their difficult time and extending financial support.
The spokesperson of Shaheed Benazirabad Police said that police force stands as one family, and these welfare initiatives are a humble effort to provide relief and support to the families of deceased personnel.
