Free legal aid for deserving persons, team of 24 lawyers approved

LAHORE, Feb 26 (APP): The Punjab government has decided to provide free legal assistance to the most deserving petitioners in the province and the names of 24 lawyers have been finalised.
Sources say that the names of lawyers have been approved to provide free legal aid to deserving persons, while Chief Justice LHC Alia Neelam has approved the list of 24 lawyers recommended by the Punjab Bar Council (PBC).
According to the details, seven names of lawyers have been approved for the principal seat, while five for the Multan bench,. Likewise, four lawyers for the Bahawalpur bench and eight for the Rawalpindi bench.
Approved lawyers will provide legal assistance to  deserving litigants in Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi benches.
The names of the lawyers approved for the principal seat Lahore include Inamul Haq Pasha, Advocate Afzal Ahmed Randhawa, Danish Gul, Zahida Parveen, Sardar Bilal Ahmed, Advocate Sohail Sharif and Muhammad Naeem, while the names of the lawyers approved for the Multan bench include Muhammad Ali Butt, Muhammad Imran Saqi, Abdul Rehman Zouq, Advocate Muhammad Amir Khakhi and Imran Yousuf Goraya.
Similarly, the names of Atiqur Rehman Nizami, Majid Riaz, Advocate Farzana Yasin and Habibullah are among the lawyers approved for the Bahawalpur bench, while the names of Sheikh Abrar Ahmed, M Usman Durrani, Naseer Awan, Advocate Talha Kiani, Mohsin Ali Khan Kiani, Nabil Al-Wanad, Farhad Ranjha and Usman Abbasi are among the lawyers approved for the Rawalpindi bench.
The PBC sources say that copies of the notification have been sent to the Secretary Law and Justice Commission Islamabad and other relevant authorities.
