KP Textbook Board launches raids against sale of “Not for Sale” textbooks

PESHAWAR, Feb 26 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board on Thursday launched raids against the illegal sale of government-issued textbooks marked “Not for Sale” in Hashtnagri area, sealing a private bookshop and confiscating the unlawfully sold material.
The action was taken on the directives of Chairman KP Textbook Board Peshawar Abidullah Kakakhel, under the supervision of Secretary Dr. Zainullah Garwaki and the Assistant Commissioner Peshawar, conducted raids and sealed Abdullah Book Agency in Hashtnagri, where textbooks meant for free distribution were being sold. Officials seized the stock on the spot and sealed the shop.
Orders have also been issued for registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against the shop owner, Abdullah. Authorities warned that strict action would continue against those involved in the illegal sale of government-provided textbooks.
