Special directive leads to inspection of Ramazan Bazaar in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Feb 25 (APP): On the special instructions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry visited the Ramazan Facilitation Bazaar established in Sector G-6 Aabpara on Wednesday.
During the visit, the Minister of State inspected stalls of vegetables, fruits, and essential commodities. He also interacted with shopkeepers and shoppers at the bazaar.
Citizens thanked the government for reasonable prices and improved arrangements, while some buyers expressed concerns over rising fruit prices. A female shopper remarked that such visits and monitoring by officials help build public confidence.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon briefed the minister in detail about the bazaar’s administrative arrangements.
Talal Chaudhry instructed authorities to further improve cleanliness and security measures in the market. He emphasized that the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has issued clear directives regarding the prices of essential food items.
“Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif closely monitors prices and even questions an increase of two rupees,” Chaudhry noted. He added that no negligence in providing relief to the public would be tolerated, as ensuring the availability of affordable and quality commodities is the government’s top priority.
The Minister of State expressed satisfaction over the overall arrangements of the Ramazan bazaar and appreciated the administration. Senior officials, including the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, and Director General Enforcement, accompanied him during the visit.
