CM chairs Peshawar parliamentarians’ meeting on ADP 2026–27 planning

PESHAWAR, Feb 25 (APP): Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi on  Wednesday chaired a meeting of parliamentarians from the Peshawar region at Pukhtunkhwa House to hold detailed consultations on the preparation of the Provincial Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2026–27.
Members of the Senate, National Assembly and Provincial Assembly elected from the Peshawar region attended the meeting held in Islamabad.
The chief minister directed that a new general hospital in Peshawar be included in the next ADP on a fast-track basis to meet growing healthcare needs.
He also instructed the inclusion of a dedicated electric bus project for public transport on the Peshawar Ring Road, besides ordering the feasibility study for a second ring road for the provincial capital to be incorporated in the upcoming ADP.
The chief minister asked parliamentarians to identify and submit proposed development schemes to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat by March 15, stressing that projects should be recommended strictly on the basis of public need and utility.

He said ADP 2026–27 would be structured in line with the province’s overall development requirements, adding that early completion of ongoing development projects would remain a top priority.
