RAWALPINDI, Feb 25 (APP):Central President of the All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association (APPSCA) Dr Abrar Hussain Malik, on Wednesday, expressed gratitude to Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) Chairman Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah for granting a two-month extension to private educational institutions in Islamabad for registration and renewal.
The decision, taken during a meeting between the PEIRA chairman and representatives of private educational associations, “applies to unregistered private institutions and those that failed to complete renewal formalities within the stipulated time, aiming to facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements, Dr Abrar said in a statement.
He said private educational institutions were playing an active role in improving literacy rates across the country and the extension would help schools that were unable to complete registration or renewal in time while enabling PEIRA to achieve its regulatory objectives.
He said private educational institutions in Islamabad were fully cooperating with PEIRA to ensure quality education and thanked senior officials of the Ministry of Education, including Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, for addressing their concerns and working towards resolving their issues.
