HYDERABAD, Feb 25 (APP): Commissioner Hyderabad Division Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi Ianugurated spring tree plantation drive in Sir CG Institute of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zainul Abedin Memon, Divisional Forest Officer Imran Bhutto, Forest Department officers, doctors and studentswere also present.
Commissioner Hyderabad Fayaz Hussain Abbasi speaking on this occasion said that the only effective solution is to plant more and more trees to reduce the effects of increasing heat and climate change.
He said that tree planting is not only a formal activity, but it is a common responsibility of all people to plant more and more trees in the empty spaces and open spaces in front of their houses and maintain them regularly.
A charity is going on which will be beneficial for future generations, he said that the participation of all sections of the society in such activities is a good thing, which not only improves the environment but also increases the beauty of the city. He urged the students to consider tree planting as their responsibility and participate fully.
Afforestation is very important for supply, balance of carbon dioxide and reduction of seasonal intensity, so every individual should play their part in this national duty. Divisional Forest Officer Imran Bhutto said that the target of planting 50,000 trees by the Social Forest Department with the support of schools, colleges and NGOs has been set in the current spring season.
