LAHORE, Feb 24 (APP): Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on Tuesday visited the shrine of Bari Imam Sarkar in Islamabad and laid a floral wreath.
Sardar Saleem Haider Khan prayed for the progress, prosperity and stability of the country and nation.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the shrine of Hazrat Bari Imam is a source of blessing, adding that visiting shrines refreshes the soul and faith of a person.
Sardar Saleem said said that he is a Dervish Governor, he does not need any protocol.
He said that it is a great privilege for him to visit the shrine of Bari Imam Sarkar.
He said sufis spread the light of Islam in the Indian subcontinent, adding that Islam teaches peace and brotherhood.
The Governor said there is need to promote peace and brotherhood by following the teachings of Sufis.
Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that cowardly attacks of Indian sponsored terrorists in the country are a big threat to peace.
He said that the security forces are carrying out successful operations against Indian-sponsored terrorists. He said that the terrorists will never succeed in their nefarious objectives.
He said sacrifices of the officers and officials of the security forces will not go in vain. He paid tribute to the martyrs of security forces.
