Sherry to condemn the incident of Kohat

ISLAMABAD, Feb 24 (APP): Vice President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Senator Sherry Rehman on Tuesday strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on security forces and a police mobile in Kohat and Karak, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives.
In her statement, Sherry Rehman expressed profound grief over the martyrdom of three security personnel and three police officials, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty. She extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen officers and prayed for strength and patience for the bereaved families during this difficult time.
She stated that terrorists have no connection with any religion and said that enemies of peace are even violating the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan through such heinous acts. She described the attack as a cowardly attempt to destabilize the country and spread fear among citizens.
The PPP leader also strongly condemned the torching of a Rescue 1122 vehicle that was transporting injured personnel, calling it a “heinous and utterly condemnable act” that reflects the brutality of the attackers.
Paying tribute to the martyred personnel, she said the entire nation is proud of their bravery and sacrifice. “These brave sons of the soil laid down their lives and thwarted the nefarious designs of terrorists. They are the heroes of our nation,” she remarked.
Sherry Rehman reiterated that the fight against terrorism will continue until its complete eradication. She emphasized that the entire nation stands united with the security forces in this struggle and that the brave people of Pakistan, along with law enforcement agencies, remain ready at all times to defend the homeland.
She also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and for the eternal peace of the martyrs, expressing solidarity with the armed forces and police in their ongoing efforts to ensure peace and security in the country.
