SWAT, Feb 24 (APP):Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, Engineer Amir Muqam, here Tuesday said that Pakistan Muslim League (N) has played a key role in pulling the country out of crises during every difficult period.
Under the leadership of former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the country had achieved significant progress.
He expressed these views while addressing a joining ceremony at Muslim League House Sangota, Swat. During the ceremony, several political and social figures from Ghorband, Leloni, and Kana in District Shangla, along with their associates, resigned from various political parties and joined Pakistan Muslim League (N).
On this occasion, Federal Minister and President of PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, welcomed the new members by presenting them with the party’s traditional muffler and appreciated their decision to join the party.
Among those who joined were Khaista Muhammad, Haji Shah Saud, Talab Dar, Haji Zameen, Karim Khan, Fareed Khan, and Dilshad Khan.
Addressing the ceremony, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam said that in the current situation, it is the need of the hour to support a political party that is taking serious steps for the country’s prosperity and development.
PML-N has always played a key role in steering the country out of crises, particularly under the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif, during which the country made notable progress.
Engineer Amir Muqam further said that he is ready to dedicate his life and wealth for the people of Shangla. He expressed his desire to ensure the provision of all basic facilities in the area, adding that the availability of resources and time are also important factors.
Criticizing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the Federal Minister said that the closure of businesses and highways in the province caused hardships for the public, which is against public interest.
He claimed the use of the KP Ramazan relief package for political purposes as deplorable. He said PTI should learn from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif how to provide assistance to deserving people transparently and on merit, without favoritism. A large number of district office-bearers and workers of PML-N attended the ceremony.
