RAWALPINDI, Feb 24 (APP):Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak chaired a review meeting on Ramazan arrangements, attended by Additional Commissioner Coordination Zainia Humayun, Additional Commissioner Revenue, and other officials.
Officials briefed the commissioner on 53 active Ramazan dastarkwhans across the division, providing daily Iftar to deserving and needy individuals with dignity. Since the start of Ramazan, approximately 15,486 people have benefited under the ‘Maryam Ke Mehman’ initiative.
Ramazan Sahulat Bazaars are offering all essential commodities at subsidized rates. The commissioner instructed authorities to ensure quality standards at these markets and called for clearly displayed rate lists. He directed deputy commissioners wishing to set up additional bazaars in their districts to complete arrangements and submit reports.
The administration emphasised that all Iftar services are provided in a clean and organized environment. Commissioner Khattak reaffirmed the division’s commitment to making the initiative more effective so that the maximum number of people can benefit with convenience and dignity during the holy month
