President, PM hail security forces for killing four Indian-backed Khawarij in D.I. Khan IBO

ISLAMABAD, Feb 23 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday paid tribute to the security forces for successfully eliminating four Indian-backed terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In separate statements issued by the Presidency and the Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders lauded the professionalism, courage and resolve of the armed forces in neutralizing the terrorists and recovering arms and ammunition during the operation.
President Asif Ali Zardari commended the security forces for carrying out a successful intelligence-based operation against Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij elements in Dera Ismail Khan. He said the killing of the khawarij terrorists and recovery of weapons during the operation reflected the high professional capabilities and unwavering commitment of the forces.
The president emphasized that operations against Indian-backed terrorist elements were indispensable for safeguarding national security. “The nation takes pride in the sacrifices rendered by its brave armed forces and law enforcement agencies,” he said.
Issuing a strong warning to foreign sponsors of terrorism, President Zardari stated that Pakistan would not only eliminate their foot soldiers but would also reach those patrons backing terrorism against the country.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the security forces for killing four terrorists belonging to Indian-supported Fitna al-Khawarij in Dera Ismail Khan. He said that under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” security forces were achieving major successes in the fight against terrorism.
The prime minister reaffirmed that the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the Armed Forces of Pakistan in the war against terrorism. “We are determined to completely eradicate terrorism from the country,” he added.
Both the president and the prime minister reiterated the government’s resolve to continue decisive actions against terrorists and their facilitators to ensure lasting peace and stability in Pakistan.
