LAHORE, Feb 23 (APP):A local court at District Kacheri on Monday heard a case related to the alleged promotion of a gambling application involving YouTuber Saadur Rehman (Ducky Bhai), his wife Aroob Jatoi, and others.
Ducky Bhai and Aroob Jatoi appeared before the court along with their counsel. During the hearing, the court ordered the restoration of Ducky Bhai’s previously frozen bank accounts and granted him conditional permission to upload videos on his YouTube channel. However, the court strictly directed that he must not discuss the sub judice matter on his platform.
The court noted that the NCCIA has raised objections to 27 videos uploaded on Ducky Bhai’s channel and ordered that the said videos should not be deleted at this stage.
The court summoned NCCIA witnesses for the next hearing, while a technical witness from the agency appeared before the court during the proceedings. Owing to the absence of the NCCIA prosecutor, the hearing was adjourned until March 11.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo presided over the hearing. On behalf of the accused, advocates Amrit Sheikh and Usman Latif represented Ducky Bhai.
The NCCIA has already submitted the challan (charge sheet) in the case before the court.
