LAHORE, Feb 23 (APP): Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) is vigorously implementing special Ramadan cleanliness plan to provide citizens with a clean environment during the holy month.
According to a press release issued here on Monday, under the plan a dedicated sanitation workforce has been deployed at 23 Ramadan bazaars established by the district administration across Lahore’s 9 towns. A total of 156, Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore workers are performing duties in 2 shifts at model and Sahulat bazaars set up for Ramadan.
Additional waste containers and bins have been installed in and around the Ramadan markets to ensure proper waste disposal.
Sanitation staff has also been deployed at ‘Ramadan Nigehban’ bazaars to facilitate citizens and maintain cleanliness standards.
Suthra Punjab DG Babar Sahib Din has issued directives for the immediate resolution of complaints received from Ramadan bazaars, ensuring uninterrupted sanitation services. Cleaning teams are operating at Ramadan Sahulat bazaars in Harbanspura, China Scheme, Chuhng, Sabzazar, Raiwind and Thokar Niaz Baig. Similarly, cleanliness operations are underway at Mian Plaza, Township, Sher Shah Colony, Wahdat Colony, Ashiana Road, Bedian Road and Barki Road. Meanwhile, special sanitation arrangements have also been ensured at Ramadan Sahulat bazaars in Badami Bagh, Shahdara and along GT Road.
