KSrelief distributes special food baskets to support vulnerable families across South Punjab

MUZAFFARGARH, Feb 23 (APP):In a significant humanitarian initiative during the holy month of Ramadan, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in collaboration with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and Hayat Foundation, has launched the distribution of special food baskets across South Punjab to support vulnerable families.
According to PBM sources, a ceremony held in Muzaffargarh marked the distribution of food kits to 300 deserving families. Each comprehensive package, weighing approximately 97 kilograms, contains essential food items to support households throughout Ramadan. The package includes:
•80 kg flour
•5 kg cooking oil
•5 kg chickpea lentils (chana dal)
•5 kg sugar
•2 kg dates
The distribution process was supervised by Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt, alongside Khalid Raheem, Country Head and Focal Person of Hayat Foundation. The initiative reflects the strong humanitarian partnership between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and demonstrates KSrelief’s confidence in PBM’s operational capacity under Senator Butt’s leadership.
To ensure transparency and discipline, Director PBM South Punjab Rana Muhammad Ramzan Tahir directly monitored the process. At the district level, Assistant Director PBM Muzaffargarh Syed Kashif Saleem and District Coordinator Hayat Foundation Malik Zameer efficiently managed arrangements to ensure organized delivery to deserving recipients.
Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Saudi leadership for their continued humanitarian support. Many recipients said the food packages would provide crucial relief, allowing them to observe Sehri and Iftar with dignity and without fear of food shortages.
The Ramadan Food Security Support Project stands as a strong symbol of the enduring brotherly ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, aimed at easing the hardships of society’s most vulnerable communities.
