ISLAMABAD, Feb 23 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi conducted an early morning visit to review security arrangements at mosques and imambargahs during Fajr prayers in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Monday that the IGP Rizvi personally inspected security deployments, monitoring mechanisms, and checking procedures to ensure effective protection of worshippers.
IGP Rizvi met police officers performing duty, appreciated their professionalism, and encouraged them to remain vigilant while discharging their responsibilities.
During the visit, Rizvi issued directions to senior officers to further strengthen security measures and ensure that duty arrangements remain efficient and responsive.
IGP Rizvi emphasised that ensuring the safety and security of worshippers remained the top priority of Islamabad Police, particularly during sensitive prayer timings.
ICT Police continue to maintain heightened security at religious places to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for citizens.
