ABBOTTABAD, Feb 23 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Sarmad Saleem Akram Monday visited the Food Department warehouse and flour mills in Havelian to oversee wheat stocks and arrangements aimed at ensuring uninterrupted supply of subsidised flour to citizens during the holy month of Ramazan.
During his visit to the food warehouse, the deputy commissioner checked wheat supply and stock levels, where the Food Inspector briefed him on availability and distribution. He also toured flour mills and examined the flour production process and existing reserves, directing mill owners and the Food Department to ensure timely provision of flour to dealers.
He further directed the Food Department to increase the flour quota for remote areas, including Lora, Bakot and Beerot, so that dealers could procure additional flour bags and provide them to residents at minimum prices while reducing transportation costs.
The deputy commissioner urged citizens to register complaints or share feedback with the district control room by calling 0992-9310553 or sending messages via WhatsApp at 0335-5851233 to help authorities ensure effective implementation of subsidised flour arrangements.
