RAWALPINDI, Feb 22 (APP):A central Sehri, Iftar kitchen set up by the Al-Quds Khidmat Committee was formally inaugurated at Committee Chowk Rawalpindi on Sunday and was described as the largest Sehri and Iftar arrangement in the city.
Prominent personalities attended the ceremony, including President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Usman Shaukat, President of Al-Quds Khidmat Committee Engineer Mubeen Siddiqui, Abdul Wajid, Vice President of the Rawalpindi Chamber Fahad Barlas, Rizwan Abbasi, Safeer Akhtar Abbasi, Shiraz Butt, Sain Ejaz Haleem Butt and senior advocate Raheel Khan Yousafzai.
Speaking on the occasion, the President RCCI Usman Shaukat termed the initiative a commendable step, saying that serving humanity is the noblest cause. He appreciated the committee for arranging such largest Sehri and Iftar setup in Rawalpindi.
Engineer Mubeen Siddiqui said that Ramazan is a month of blessings and mercy, adding that public support and contributions from philanthropists are essential to ensure Sehri and Iftar reach deserving individuals throughout the holy month.
Through the central kitchen, more than 10,000 deserving people are being provided Sehri and Iftar daily. During the event, media representatives were also briefed in detail about the arrangements and distribution mechanism.
