ISLAMABAD, Feb 21 (APP): Chairman of the Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, on Saturday strongly condemned the terrorist attack carried out by Fitna Al-Khawarij on a security forces convoy in Bannu.
Paying tribute to the unwavering courage and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies, Gilani said that their contributions to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and security are unforgettable.
He reaffirmed that the entire nation stands united with its armed forces in the fight against terrorism.
Gilani reiterated that decisive and effective operations against terrorist elements will continue until militancy is completely eradicated.
He noted that the prompt and professional response by security forces led to the elimination of several terrorists, demonstrating their preparedness and resolve to counter all threats to national security.
The Chairman Senate expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred Lieutenant Colonel Shehzada Gulfraz and Sepoy Karamat Shah, praying for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and for patience and strength for their bereaved families.
He said the nation takes immense pride in the bravery, professionalism, and patriotism of its young soldiers and reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue its determined struggle to eliminate terrorism and ensure lasting peace and stability.
