Minister reviews arrangements at Ramazan bazaar

LAHORE, Feb 21 (APP): Punjab Minister for Housing Bilal Yaseen visited the Ramazan Bazaar in Wahdat Colony on Saturday and reviewed the arrangements made to facilitate citizens during the holy month.
During the visit, the provincial minister inspected the quality, price and weight of essential commodities, particularly flour and sugar. He also took a detailed review of stalls set up for Ramazan necessities including gram flour (besan), dates and vegetables.
Bilal Yaseen directed the authorities concerned to ensure comprehensive security arrangements at the bazaar. He also inquired after the well-being of an elderly woman present at the emergency camp established at the site.
The minister said that on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, strict monitoring of security, cleanliness and prices was being ensured at all Ramazan bazaars. He added that provision of essential commodities at reasonable rates under one roof was a major public facilitation initiative. He further said that a visible reduction in prices of food items compared to the open market was the real relief for the people.
