ISLAMABAD, Feb 21 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police checked 111 individuals during grand search and combing operations carried out in various areas of the federal capital as part of ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities.
An official told APP on Saturday that the operations were conducted under the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, in the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and under the oversight of zonal SPs.
He said that during the search operations, police teams checked 111 individuals and 41 households. Police also inspected 70 motorcycles and 30 vehicles.
The official said that 11 motorcycles were shifted to the police station for verification and further legal proceedings.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza stated that the purpose of the search operations was to tighten the net around criminal elements and further strengthen security across the city.
He said Islamabad Police were continuing indiscriminate actions against criminals, land grabbers, and drug dealers to ensure peace and law and order in the capital.
