ISLAMABAD, Feb 20 (APP): Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid Friday said that World Day of Social Justice serves as a reminder of ensuring equality, inclusion, and protection of human dignity for all segments of society.
In her message on the occasion of the World Day of Social Justice, she emphasized that protection of vulnerable and marginalized groups remains the foremost priority of the state.
Senator Rubina Khalid stated that a sustainable and equitable society cannot be achieved without social justice, adding that effective social protection systems are essential to eliminating social and economic inequalities.
She said the Benazir Income Support Programme has emerged as a practical instrument for promoting social justice in Pakistan by extending financial assistance and social protection to deserving families across the country.
Highlighting the programme’s focus, she noted that economic empowerment of women and financial security of underprivileged households remain the core priorities of BISP.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the Chairperson said that on the World Day of Social Justice, the resolve is renewed to ensure that no citizen is left behind in the journey toward national development and prosperity.
She added that through BISP, Pakistan continues to move forward towards building a just and welfare-oriented state founded on principles of fairness, inclusion, and equal opportunity for all citizens.
