RAWALPINDI, Feb 19 (APP):Following the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Ramazan Sahulat Bazaars have been established in Rawalpindi to provide relief to residents during the holy month.
A district administration spokesman said on Thursday the Bazaars were set up at Haidari Chowk and Chowdhry Chowk, while 60 fair-price shops across the district were selling essential food items at official rates.

Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Hassan Waqar Cheema, said the initiative aimed to protect citizens from artificial price hikes during Ramazan. “In line with the chief minister’s vision, practical measures have been taken to provide relief to the public. The district administration is fully active in the field for checks and balances,” he added.
Special DC counters have also been established for citizen facilitation, while subsidies and official rate lists are prominently displayed at the Bazaars and fair-price shops. The administration said strict monitoring of prices continued and violations would be met with firm action.
