PESHAWAR, Feb 19 (APP): Hamdard Foundation Pakistan on Thursday distributed Ramazan ration packages among 700 deserving families in Peshawar and its surrounding villages, continuing its decade-long tradition of supporting underprivileged communities during the holy month of Ramadan.
The ration packages, comprising 19 essential food items, were distributed among poor, orphaned, and needy families belonging to sixteen villages and localities, including Shahi Bala, Patwar Mathra, Regi, Abadara, Pajagi, Badho Shamar, Bagh Lakrai, Tehkal, Bazid Khel, Landi Akhun Ahmad, Sheikh Kalay, Pushtakhara, Fazal Haq Garhi, Palosi, Badizai Landi Arbab, as well as different areas within Peshawar.
As part of the organized distribution process, tokens were issued in advance to deserving families, followed by the establishment of a distribution camp at the newly constructed Hamdard Center Peshawar (Building No. 2), where Ramazan gifts were handed over to beneficiaries.
This welfare initiative traces its roots to the vision of late Hakeem Muhammad Saeed, whose mission of public service is being carried forward by his daughter Sadia Rashid.
Under her leadership, the foundation continues to undertake various social welfare programs, including educational scholarships, winter blanket distribution, and Ramazan ration drives.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the timely assistance and offered prayers for the organization and its administration.
Many recipients termed the initiative a reflection of Hamdard’s long-standing commitment to humanitarian service and expressed hope that other organizations would follow suit in supporting vulnerable segments of society.
