LAHORE, Feb 19 (APP): The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has carried out a waste clearance operation at the Hudiara Drain on Ferozepur Road to provide improved sanitation facilities to residents living in surrounding areas.
According to LWMC sources here on Thursday as part of the cleaning operation, more than 160 additional workers along with heavy machinery were deployed to clean the drain located in the industrial zone near Ferozepur Road.
LWMC teams ensured waste removal and cleanliness at various surrounding points including Manofactory, Gajjumata, Rajput Farm House, Stop No. 47 and the adjoining Rohi Nala.
Furthermore, LWMC staff remained active in desilting activities at key areas such as Bhubtian Chowk near the PSO pump, Truck Adda and areas adjacent to the WASA office to maintain smooth water flow and prevent blockages.
Under the ‘Suthra Punjab’ drive, LWMC continues to take effective measures to provide improved sanitation facilities across the city.
The company was also extending cooperation and support to other institutions to ensure sustainable cleanliness.
LWMC was assisting WASA in cleaning drains throughout Lahore to keep the drainage system functional and ensure uninterrupted water disposal.
LWMC teams have urged citizens to cooperate by disposing of waste responsibly and avoiding dumping garbage in streets, bridges, drains, canals, or open plots.
