KARACHI, Feb 19 (APP):Five ships namely, CMA CGM Maupassant, Hansa Europe, Sidra Al- Wakra, Corona and Wadi Al Sail scheduled to load/offload Containers, Bitumen, Palm oil and LNG, berthed at Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal, Liquid Terminal and Gasport Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile three more ships, AS Alva, Chemroad Echo and Paolo Topic carrying Containers, Palm oil and steel coil also arrived at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim during the same period.
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out
of them three vessels CMA CGM Maupassant, Poineer Gas and Galaxy Gas left the port on Thursday morning, while another containers ship Hansa Europe is expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 162,050 tonnes comprising 99,069 tonnes imports cargo and 62,981tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 6,109 containers (TEUs) imports, were handled at
the Port.
There are 11 ships at outer anchorage of the port, out of them two ships, AS Alva and Hoot & another ship Charlotte Schulte carrying Containers and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT and EVTL respectively on Thursday, while two more vessels MSC Madeleine and MSC Tracy V are expected to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday.
