TANK, Feb 19 (APP):Local traders on Thursday lauded Deputy Commissioner Tanveer Khan Khattak for launching an effective operation against encroachments in various commercial areas of the district.
The district administration carried out operations in Main Bazar, Bannu Road, DI Khan Road and Waziristan Road, removing illegal structures and clearing footpaths to restore smooth traffic flow and facilitate customers.
The traders’ community expressed satisfaction over the initiative, saying that the anti-encroachment drive has improved business activity and reduced congestion in the markets.
Prominent traders including Irfan Ullah, Hayat Khan, Yasin and Umer Khan appreciated the efforts of the Deputy Commissioner and his team. They said the timely action by the district administration would help create a more organized and business-friendly environment in the city.
With the holy month of Ramazan approaching, traders said the removal of encroachments would greatly benefit citizens who throng the markets for shopping, especially during peak hours before Iftar. They said that improved accessibility, better traffic management and clear walkways would help ensure convenience and safety for families during Ramazan.
The traders further urged the authorities to ensure continuity of such measures to maintain cleanliness, order and ease of movement in all major bazaars of Tank.
