ISLAMABAD, Feb 19 (APP):Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq, accompanied by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, visited various mosques and imambargahs during Taraweeh prayers to review security arrangements.
An official told APP on Thursday that the DIG Tariq examined security deployment, monitoring at entry and exit points, and checking procedures to ensure a safe environment for worshippers.
DIG Tariq issued directives to further strengthen surveillance, enhance patrolling, and make the checking process more effective and purposeful.
During the visit, the DIG Tariq met police officers performing duties and emphasized the importance of active field presence, vigilance, and professional conduct. He directed officers to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and alertness.
DIG Tariq also visited Faisal Mosque, where he reviewed security measures and issued necessary instructions in view of increased public attendance during Ramazan.
Islamabad Police reiterated that ensuring the safety and protection of citizens remains the foremost priority, particularly during Ramazan.
